Home Group Team
The purpose of the Hilltop Home Group Team
The Purpose of the Hilltop Home Group Team is to build up every Hilltopper and guest through connecting, growing, and developing giftedness together in a loving and supportive family group experience.
The
Invest: Home Groups will invest in every Hilltopper and guest by connecting and walkingthrough life together as a group, where each person has support and will mature as a Christian.
Ignite: Home Groups will ignite their towns as they walk together in God’s love and grace, being the hands and feet of Jesus for each other and for people in their towns.
Restore: Home Groups will walk with people as they restore their relationship with the Lord. As Home Groups live life together we will reach out to our friends and families who need God’s love and forgiveness.
Home Groups are Growing
Through Home Groups each Hilltopper will have the opportunity to grow spiritually, to be a vital part of a family and to build up each other.
Potential Goals for 2012
1. Create New Groups & Help Existing Groups Recreate Themselves
The Home Group Team will create 15% new groups every year and work with every existing group leader to recreate their group each year. We will create both short groups and extended groups.
- Short groups will have a beginning and ending date, they will study specific topics for a determined time period. We will begin new groups for new people.
- Existing groups will evaluate their group every year and determine together where God is leading them next.
2. Build up Home Group Leaders
The Home Group Team will help each group to build up new leaders and provide times for leadership training and discussions.
- Co-leaders Each leader will have a co-leader who is working toward becoming a Home Group Leader. The Home Group Team will partner with Group Leaders in this mentoring relationship.
- Training & Discussions The Home Group Team will host training sessions and Home Group Leader Dinner parties to encourage, discuss and train all Home Group leaders every other month through out the year.
Possible Ways to Track Each Goal
1. Keep records of each new and existing group attendance, when new groups begin, and the research that is done for new group materials. Make a trimester report with all of the records.
2. After creating a mentoring program for co-leaders, keep records of every leader and co-leader and track their progress. Make a yearly report to assist in the assessments and progress of co-leaders and leaders.
3. Keep records of every training and dinner party. Use the records to make sure that every leader is built up every year. Make a trimester report to track all training events, discussions with leaders, and dinner parties.
